P.A. Collins PE, Consulting Engineers, is a multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm founded by P. Andrew Collins PE, LEED AP, in 1983. Our clientele includes architects, educational institutions, restaurants, commercial buildings, agencies, building management companies, diplomatic delegations, and residential owners. Our core work is high performance sustainable design, traditional mechanical engineering trades, while our Energy Modeling Laboratory provides LEED Energy Modeling, Project Certification , Rescheck, and Comcheck services.
Our engineers are all LEED APs, with engineering licenses in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Certified GeoExchange Designers and a certified Multifamily Building Analyst from The Building Performance Institute are on staff; the firm is also a Partner in N.Y.S.E.R.D.A. ‘s Multifamily Performance Program. Membership is continuous with ASHRAE and International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) and the Association of Energy Engineers.
