Staten Island 9/11 Fireman’s Memorial

A poetic tribute to the firemen from Staten Island who perished during the 9/11 attacks against the World Trade Center. Entitled “Postcards”, the winged shapes are meant to evoke postcards to loved ones. The profiles of the fallen are cut into granite stone and are illuminated by the rising and setting sun. The central axis of the sculpture is aligned with Ground Zero.
