201 Edgewater Street

New York City

201 Edgewater Street is a new building design by Cutrona Architects for the New York and New Jersey Sandy Hook Pilots Association, founded in 1694.

The building is resilient, being built on a raised plinth above the FEMA Design Flood Elevation for the site and comprises 13,500 square feet. All site utilities, electrical and similar are installed to withstand a 100 year storm event. 100{93ca1de967b9eb079dcd496c16ca4a02abe3555abfc6a10ad0e11167472dd3cd} stand-by electrical capacity is provided by generators, that will also be used for load shedding.

This building replaces two buildings on this site that were destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.
